Standard grind
Pour-over
The clearest cup you can make at home, and the one that rewards attention. Best for our brighter African coffee.
- Ratio
- 22 g to 350 g water
- Water
- 200°F
- Total time
- 3:00–3:30
- Makes
- One large cup
- 1. Rinse the paper filter with hot water and discard it — this warms the brewer too.
- 2. Add the grounds, level them, and pour 50 g of water. Wait 30 seconds while it bubbles.
- 3. Pour in slow circles to 350 g total, keeping the bed submerged but never overflowing.
- 4. The drawdown should finish by 3:30. Faster means grind finer; slower, coarser.
